We're on vacation. In Myrtle Beach. During Hurricane Idalia. Thankfully, were just expecting two days of rain and some wind. Not even that much rain, two to four inches.
It does put of a bit of damper on our vacay, but really, we're enjoying the necessity of a more laid back period. We all slept in a bit after the long day/late evening yesterday, spent some time in the indoor/outdoor pool (the boys loved being outside in the pool while it rained), watched a movie, and made taco salad for dinner.
A side effect of the slower pace today was moving my regular "office" from the front seat of the van or the end of the dining room table to the patio at our villa. I worked a bit on my newest project while listening to the rain and sipping on coffee. It was lovely.
Tomorrow should be a more mellow day as well, which will be nice, but we're all looking forward to some sunshine and beach time on Friday.
